Useful information
Show / hide

The component “Employment Overview” within the page “EU Labour & Skills” provides information on the European Economic Area and associated countries’ labour markets at the national, NUTS 1, and NUTS 2 levels. Sixteen variables are visualized: total labour force, employment (total, full-time, part-time), unemployment (total, youth, long-term), waged employment (total, permanent, temporary), self-employment (with employees, solo), family helpers, and average usual weekly hours worked in the main job. Data refers to individuals aged 15 and over. Overall, this data illustrate the magnitude of national and regional labour markets, as well as the types of employment and the extent of flexibility therein. As such, this data provide insight into the composition, performance, and social wellbeing within the broader European Economic Area’s regional labour markets and allow direct comparisons between them.
